Director, Cloud PMO
SUMMARY
In the Cloud Program Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for delivery of features, products and cloud services across our cloud program portfolio. You will work with the cloud leadership team to create/refine processes to efficiently capture requirements, estimate work and track the progress of projects and programs. You will be responsible for communication and regularly updating stakeholders on key initiatives and identify issues that need to be unblocked.
The successful leader of the cloud PMO is team orientated, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives on getting things done. Key strengths including recruiting, inspiring, and supporting a team of project managers, ability to coordinate with our core PMO organization and clear communicator with a high attention to detail. The leader will be responsible for tracking business KPI's and metrics and presenting with confidence to executive leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of cloud PMO will lead a small team of cross functional project managers in the cloud organization:
- Work with Cloud leaders on managing the cloud portfolio including portfolio reviews, prioritization, and evolution of project management in cloud
- Develop, implement, and govern program/portfolio processes, dashboards, templates, policies, and metrics.
- Provide cloud leaders with the information needed to assess and decide which proposals have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment
- Ensure that there is a clear intake process and dependency tracking effort across the organization
- Participate in organizational planning processes and efforts and work with Engineering PM counterparts
- Recruit, coach, and mentor project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices
- Coordinate project deliverables with PMs, engineers, cloud leaders and ops personnel
- Set annual performance targets for direct reports and conduct performance reviews
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a cloud/infrastructure environment, cloud center of excellent, PMO organization or equivalent organization
- Skilled at managing teams and projects in a high-paced SaaS environment
- Expert-Level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, and processes (Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM)
- Budgeting and Resource management skills
- 10+ years of experience in a cloud/it infrastructure environment
- Strong attention to details and excellent communicator
- PMP certification desired
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience.
