We are looking for an experienced, passionate cloud solution architect with hands-on implementation experience in Data, Analytics and AI space, covering a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to: Cloud Scale Data Analytics, Modern Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Visualization & Reporting, Data Governance, relational and non-relational databases (proprietary and open source) and others related areas. Practical knowledge of the technologies and products in your area of expertise, hands-on experience with solution delivery is a must. The immediate team you will be a part of interacts closely with product groups for the respective technologies, global field roles such as Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Engineers as well as senior leadership team. This is a highly dynamic, high pace position requiring technical depth, agility and independent decision making while dealing with ambiguity. There are ample opportunities for learning on the job to deepen your technical depth and acquire breadth in a variety of technologies. This person will manage a portfolio of projects with strategic customers and orchestrate a variety of Microsoft and customer teams that will help accelerate customer journey on Azure.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand market demand and customers' data estate, including common workloads, repeatable use case patterns and business priorities and needs, focusing on expertise within Data and AI workloads
  • Help define and be able to drive projects across a variety of multifunctional team which includes internal Microsoft and external customer teams, look for areas of optimization, remove blockers and maintain the project velocity
  • Help identify and build technical collateral or technical assets that helps field accelerate Analytics consumption
  • Understand current technical capabilities of Azure and competing products and platforms in Data and AI domain (Analytics, Data Governance, Relational and non-relational databases, AI/ML, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement based on customer, field and internal stakeholder feedback and help incorporate them into the overall technical strategy
  • Apply technical knowledge to help implement solutions, help solve technical customer problems
  • Serve as the technical lead and interface between Azure field teams and Azure Engineering in respective areas and help with content delivery when/where needed



Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Technical Program Manager or development experience building products OR hands-on experience implementing cloud solution architectures with customers


Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years technical sales experience.
  • 4+ years project management experience.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure).
  • 10+ years working with large Enterprise customers and field communities in consulting or similar roles, leading deployment projects, architecture, design, technical program management or engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of Azure and/or competitive cloud technologies
  • Ability to run complex program management at a global scale, including cross-project planning and resource orchestration, as well as the ability to consistently identify and drive program enhancements
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer and field needs
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute cross-org and drive for results in ambiguous environments, independence in decision making, ability to problem-solve
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt in rapidly evolving business situations
  • Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences and with different levels of an organization
