Our client is a leading renewable energy and EPC solutions company that is seeking a qualified candidate to join their organization.
  1. Technical Due Diligence – Conduct site assessments, topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, and wind/solar resource verification studies; prepare due diligence reports and risk assessment registers.
  2. Design Management – Lead preliminary and detailed design reviews while coordinating with Vietnamese design consultants (VNPD, PECC, etc.) to ensure compliance with both Chinese equipment standards and Vietnamese TCVN regulations.
  3. Equipment Technical Specifications – Develop and evaluate technical specifications for solar modules, inverters, PCS systems, transformers, wind turbines, and tower structures; participate in bid evaluation and technical assessment processes.
  4. Construction Engineering & Technology – Develop construction methodologies and provide solutions for Vietnam-specific technical challenges, including high-wind crane operations, corrosion protection for thin-wall steel piles, and submarine cable installation during typhoon seasons.
  5. Site & Construction Management – Coordinate surveying, civil works, equipment installation, commissioning, and grid connection activities in full compliance with Vietnamese laws and technical regulations.
  6. Commissioning & Grid Integration – Lead reliability testing, EVN grid-code acceptance procedures, SCADA point-to-point verification, and power quality testing to ensure Commercial Operation Date (COD) is achieved on schedule.
  7. Technical Coordination & Support – Deliver bilingual technical briefings to Vietnamese subcontractors and implement operational plans for holiday shifts and rainy-season acceleration measures at project sites.
  8. Variation Orders & Claims Management – Maintain records of design modifications, site instructions, and owner-requested changes while supporting the cost control team in technical evaluations of EPC claims and counterclaims.
  9. As-Built Documentation & Project Closeout – Prepare and finalize as-built drawings, equipment manuals, Vietnamese O&M documentation, project technical reports, and knowledge-transfer documentation.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in renewable energy, electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering. 
  • 5+ years of on-site technical experience in renewables, with at least one complete 50 MW+ solar or wind EPC project in Vietnam (or Southeast Asia) served as Lead Technical Engineer. 
  • Trilingual working proficiency: report in Chinese, review contracts in English, command site crews in Vietnamese; Vietnamese at HSK-5 equivalent preferred. 
  • Expert knowledge of TCVN standards, IEC 61400/61215, IEEE 1547, and EVN grid-connection codes. 
  • Proficient in PVsyst, WAsP, AutoCAD, ETAP, and MS Project; able to independently prepare/review high-work, heavy-lift transport, and land-sea interchange technical schemes. 
  • Willing to work outdoors during Vietnamese public holidays, high-temperature/high-humidity periods, and typhoon seasons.
