Overview
As a Project System Engineer (PSE), you will play an important role in the integration of software, hardware and mechanics in one sub-system in close collaboration with all stakeholders and will be responsible for the technical sub-system documentation. Especially, you will be the technical interface and main driver for systems engineering including the creation of system-requirements and sub-system architecture in the designated requirements management tool.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical integration of electrical hardware (PCB), software and mechanical components into one sub-system to ensure full functionality
- Responsible for sub-system documentation
- Creates sub-system-requirements and sub-system Architecture in the designated requirements management tool
- Technical key account for suppliers and internal stakeholder
- Provide input into technical decision/direction and coordinate technical topics related to product
- Maintain and manage BOM (bill of materials) evolution throughout the project
- Support customer relevant documentation & development of a product & tech roadmap
- Support system & component documentation, e.g. System Engineers, Electrical Engineers, etc.
- Documentation of quality, certification & functional safety related topics
- Support test team creating the test documentation and product validation plan
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 years of professional experience in the field of Systems Engineering and/or Requirements Management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with product development of mechatronic products.
- Proficient in English and German.
- Proficient with MS Office and familiar with Requirements Management Tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Exceptional communication, teamwork and relationship skills.
- Ability to maintain high level of organization and good understanding of timelines
- Hands on / Makers Mind-Set and constant drive to improve.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Enthusiasm for cycling is a plus
