Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Support Specialist– Airport to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.

We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. 

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the team in coordinating working groups, meetings, progressive procurement activities, and tender review sessions.

  • Support the team in organizing and reviewing design and engineering submittals, including responses to the design consultant

  • Track and manage open design and engineering issues with consultants to ensure timely resolution and closure

  • Responsible for Requests for Information (RFI)management from various parties

  • Capture and track discussion items, decisions, assumptions, risks, interfaces, and action items.

  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion of assigned actions.

  • Ensure design-related assumptions and interface issues are documented and escalated appropriately.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, construction, or a related technical field

  • Experience supporting an engineering team on large infrastructure or transportation projects

  • Familiarity with stage-based design review processes, Design-Build or Progressive Design-Build delivery environments, and technical meeting coordination including action tracking.

This is a newly created position.

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
