Key Responsibilities
The Project Status (PS) team member is responsible for tracking NPI material requirements and availability, identifying shortages, communicating material status, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support on-time R&D and pilot builds.
The role focuses on Four key areas:
- NPI Material Tracking and Readiness
Track and analyze material requirements, availability, shortages, inventory, receipts, and long-lead items to support R&D and pilot builds. Maintain accurate project-level material status using SAP, Excel, MRP/ERP systems, and manufacturing databases, and identify risks that could impact build schedules.
- Cross-Functional Coordination and Communication
Serve as central point of coordination for project-level material status across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Buyers, Materials Program Managers, and Commodity Business Managers. Translate build requirements and priority changes into clear material actions, lead material status reviews, communicate shortages and schedule impacts, track commitments, and follow up with stakeholders to drive issues to closure.
- Shortage Management and Escalation
Identify material shortages and supply constraints that could impact build schedules. Communicate risks and priorities, track recovery actions, and escalate issues when material requirements or commitments are not met.
- Material and Build Execution Support
Coordinate material transfers between Engineering, Manufacturing, and manufacturing sites; support inventory transactions; track receipts and approvals; and help ensure materials are available when needed to support scheduled builds.
Functional Knowledge
- Strong understanding of NPI manufacturing, material planning and shortage management, MRP/ERP systems, BOMs, procurement and inventory processes, with advanced Excel skills to track and analyze material readiness against build schedules.
Business Expertise
- Ability to coordinate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement to ensure material readiness and support on-time builds.
Leadership
- The PS team member is a visible leader who may be responsible for multiple programs/projects across multiple time zones.
Problem Solving
- Ability to analyze material shortages and supply constraints, determine schedule impact and root causes, prioritize critical issues, and coordinate corrective actions to support on-time NPI builds.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to present in small and large groups is critical to success in this position
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with Supply Chain Management Emphasis and exposure to Operations and Project Management

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
