The Project Specialist supports cross-functional projects, with a focus on integration and operational readiness. This role is responsible for coordinating timelines, managing project risks, and ensuring effective communication across teams to successfully execute initiatives, particularly related to acquisitions and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: 3040 Post Oak Blvd Houston, TX 77056

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Balance capacity, timelines, and risk across multiple concurrent integrations

  • Assist teams in translating diligence findings into operational readiness plans and coordinate with teams on decisions made based on findings

  • Ensure that teams (Accounting, IT, HR, Legal, Operations, Marketing, etc.) receive the right information at the right time

  • Drive cross-functional kickoff meetings, timelines, and deliverables

  • Identify risks early and escalate before they impact the close or transition

  • Ensure on-site leadership and teams are prepared for pre and post integration

  • Own all post-close tasking, dependencies, and issue resolution

  • Track completion, quality, and adoption of all integration workstreams

  • Facilitate the Performance Tracking for each acquisition

  • Support projects and initiative, when needed, across the organization as part of the Continuous Improvement team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Have 2-4 years’ experience in a Project Management environment

  • PMP certification required

  • Proven experience in operations projects required

  • M&A integration exposure preferred

  • Experience with handling complex cross functional projects managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • Strong background in project management across complex, multi-team initiatives

  • Experience using tools such as Monday.com or similar enterprise Project Management platform

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
