Project QHSE Engineer for Italy
DEME's objective is to provide a healthy work environment, to promote sound work practices and a healthy lifestyle for everyone involved in our business. QHSE is therefore one of the supportive departments that is involved in all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters on our projects, vessels, and in HQ. As a Project QHSE Engineer you will be part of the Project team, responsible for the maintenance and control of QHSE-S practices on site, as well as inspecting all activities and equipment to reassure  proper operation and implementation of procedures.Your responsibilities
  • As a QHSE engineer you will have a variety of tasks in assisting the project management to make our projects as safe as possible by planning and controlling the Project activities

  • You’ll be responsible for updating and maintaining our management systems, setting up QHSE campaigns, taking part in incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.

  • You’ll be collaborating with employees of all nationalities and disciplines.

  • Together we work towards DEME’s vision of creating a sustainable future.

  • As a QHSE engineer you will be the advisor for the application of HSE national and regional regulations in the Project

  • In carry out your task you will be the point of contact between the QHSE department and the project

Your profile
  • You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in safety engineer; a specialization in energy management and environmental engineering is an asset.

  • Relevant Experience in the field of Construction sites /civil/ dredging  works as QHSE Engineer

  • Experience in safety management systems

  • You have an analytical mind and are able to work accurately.

  • You have good communication skills, both written and verbal, in Italian and English.

  • You have a good knowledge of Italian HSE regulations (certification RSPP/CSE)

  • You are prepared to work in our projects in Italy and abroad

Skills Required

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in safety engineering
  • Specialization in energy management and environmental engineering
  • Relevant experience in construction/civil/dredging works
  • Experience in safety management systems
  • Good communication skills in Italian and English
  • Knowledge of Italian HSE regulations (RSPP/CSE certification)
