Guardian has established the Enterprise Portfolio Management & Governance Organization to drive consistent, measurable, predictable portfolio delivery process across the Enterprise. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in program and portfolio management to support this function as a Portfolio Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end management and reporting of enterprise portfolio planning and delivery process. This role understands the business financial, technical, and operations contexts and drives lean governance on overall enterprise portfolio from planning through delivery. A successful candidate will have extensive experience in portfolio management processes, data management, implementing governance frameworks, analytics and reporting.
You will
- Orchestrate portfolio planning & delivery across business, finance and technology leadership providing data-driven insights for prioritization.
- Manage portfolio delivery roadmap aligned to strategic objectives ensuring outcomes are implemented within schedule, financials, and scope.
- Manage portfolio forecasting, benefit realization progress measurement and audit compliance to portfolio governance process.
- Support strategic vision development, planning & tracking of portfolio through lean portfolio governance.
- Facilitate case creation and changes in accordance with Enterprise Portfolio management process including capacity assessment & prioritization impacts.
- Cultivate Operational Excellence in portfolio intake through delivery process focusing on continually improving efficiency, driving consistency, and achieving business objectives.
- Implement processes related to Portfolio data management and solution governance requirements within various portfolio management tools including Jira, Jira Align, Service Now, etc. Examples of include Portfolio Health Insights, Portfolio Pipeline, etc.
- Drive Solution Governance for portfolio in alignment with Enterprise Solution Architecture connectivity framework.
- Manage expectations of and influence several diverse stakeholders, through effective communication to accomplish business strategic objectives through portfolio delivery.
You have
- A master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of program and portfolio management.
- 5+ years recent experience leading programs through Agile / SAFe / Iterative / Hybrid methodologies.
- Demonstrated an understanding of business line initiatives, and highly specialized working knowledge of program or project management methodologies (e.g., SAFe, agile, waterfall, etc.) and be comfortable working in a complex matrix environment.
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing large transformational programs with multiple business and technology partners.
- Advanced proficiency in using JIRA Align, JIRA, SharePoint, and other software for portfolio, project and task management.
- Process Improvement methodology experience preferred (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, SAFe, etc.).
- An ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner.
- Excellent problem-solving analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Domain experience in insurance and / or financial industries.

This is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office, which include:

Salary Range$84,320.00 - $138,522.50
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
