Role summary:
Order Engineering is responsible for several important tasks throughout the assigned projects with regards to the design and manufacturing of pump packages, involves the design and development of devices, assemblies, or systems to be produced through production manufacturing processes.
Provides engineering and technical support to all FLS Pump Division Engineers, Sales Engineers and customers to develop the best possible solutions to pump jobs. Responsible for technical interpretation of specifications, procedures, policies, quality, and equipment reliability to concerned parties.
Responsibilities:

Reviews complete technical documentation package to validate product performance against customer requirements and suggest modifications where required

Prepares project plans in accordance with customer /contract requirements

Create designs, drawings and other documents with the help of CAD tool

Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities

Determine cost and delivery impact of changes to the scope of supply

Collaborate with BU’s and GTEC Engineers to improve the Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement.

Have strong collaboration with project team

Implements engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps
-
Generates bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products

Supports customers by providing technical solutions support

Conducts engineering analysis under supervision on areas such as hydraulic design, vibration, Gear design, software and hardware design and FEA structural and dynamic analysis

Provides assistance to FPD sites to develop work scope required in solving equipment problems through pump/system/operations modifications & upgrades via technical/commercial proposals.

Apply programs & methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs & to improve product life.

Identify new/improved design standard and procedural documents.

Work with other Engineers to promptly investigate & resolve shop floor problems relating to design or quality issues; record & report findings, make corrections & help develop and implement permanent, cost effective solutions.

Responsible for fulfilling customer requirements and meet project budget
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline

Ideally 2 years relevant experience in project, manufacturing or design engineering
-
Proficiency in engineering & design software, (preferably SolidWorks, Windchill PLM)

Analytical, problem solving and computer skills
-
Good planning, time management and organizational skills
-
Ability to focus on long term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives
-
Good communication skills with Customers, Sales, Operations and Engineering
-
Flexible concerning working hours & willing to travel for planned visits or to overcome unexpected issues (5-10%) if any

Work-experience in multi culture teams

Knowledge of internal and international practices & standards

Experience in order engineering

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred experience/skills:
-
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Oil & Gas industry, project management, hydraulic engineering, pressure vessels, instrumentation and interpreting customer specifications

Solid understanding of pump applications and types; in depth knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals and how these relate to pumps and pump systems
