About the Role:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the battery chemical manufacturing project, ensuring delivery within time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
- Develop comprehensive Project Strategy, Execution Plan, and Master Schedule in alignment with Schneider Electric’s targets.
- Translate RFP scope into actionable work packages for Civil, PEB, MEP & Infrastructure.
- Monitor progress against milestones, proactively flag delays, and prepare recovery plans.
- Daily monitoring of site progress across Civil, PEB, MEP, Infra & Interior packages.
- Ensure strict adherence to FM Global standards, SE guidelines, safety norms & quality protocols.
- Drive site housekeeping, logistic planning, manpower utilization & contractor performance.
- Lead & coordinate PMC team: Planning, Project Engineers, MEP, Safety & QS.
- Facilitate daily/weekly coordination meetings with the client and other stakeholders
- Ensure design deliverables are released timely – no work stoppage due to drawing delays.
- Communicate issues & escalations with professional clarity and solution-oriented approach.
- Track and ensure compliance for Labour laws & IR, ESIC, PF, Medical & Insurance, Excavation, Royalty, Labour License and Environmental – CGWB, PCB
- Maintain audit-ready records for legal, HR, Finance & statutory inspections.
- Implement and drive QA/QC plan, QAP adherence & inspection protocols.
- Review and sign off Test certificates, Calibration reports and NCRs, Site Instructions, Observation Reports
- Support ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS audits with corrective actions.
- Deep involvement with Safety Engineer for, Daily safety rounds, Work permit system, Toolbox meetings and High-risk activity control
- Immediate reporting of critical safety breaches to SE leadership within 2 hours.
- Manage project budget and cost adherence.
- Validate contractor RA bills with PMC QS/Planning teams.
- Track cash-flow, change orders, claims, and cost deviations.
- Drive value engineering initiatives for cost and time optimisation.
- Maintain complete project documentation of Drawings, QAP & QC records, Approvals, Change logs and Safety & compliance records
- Prepare Daily & weekly progress reports, Monthly Executive Summary for Schneider Leadership and Risk registers and mitigation plans
- Ensure contractor resource deployment, productivity and performance.
- Validate the availability of manpower, machinery & materials.
- Ensure strict schedule adherence for long-lead items (PEB, Transformer, Panels, DG, HVAC etc.).
- Lead final punch list closure with all consultants & vendors.
- Drive testing & commissioning of all equipment.
- Ensure submission of, As-built drawings (CAD + PDF), O&M Manuals, Stability Certificate, Completion Certificates and Warranty certificates
- Prepare the final Project Closure Report & Lessons Learned Document.
About You:
- Strong leadership & decision-making
- Industrial project experience
- Contract & cost management
- Proven experience in industrial construction (Factories, PEB, MEP, Infrastructure).
- Strong understanding of FM Global requirements.
- Excellent leadership & stakeholder management abilities.
- Expertise in Project planning (MS Project/Primavera), Cost control, Compliance & safety management and Quality systems (QAP, NCR handling, audits)
- Ability to manage large teams and multiple contractors simultaneously.
- Strong communication, negotiation & decision-making skills.
- Mandatory experience in at least 3 Greenfield/Brownfield industrial projects.
- Exposure to FM Global guidelines is essential.
- Experience working with multinational clients is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
