About our Team
We liaise between stakeholders, system owners, and Publishing Services employees to translate technical production requirements into the publishing services processes.
About the Role
The Project Manager role encompasses creating print and digital publications, designing packaging, and preparing materials for production. They also check and proofread content, use internal or external resources, and adapt artwork for different markets.
Additionally, the role involves negotiating with vendors, coordinating procurement, and solving routine problems with guidance. Proficiency in their discipline, analyzing solutions, and receiving moderate guidance from senior roles are required for this position.
Responsibilities
• Producing a print-ready and/or digital copy of each publication, including, as applicable, sleeve design or other packaging, point-of-sale and advertising materials, in a format that is ready for production/duplication.
• Checking copy and proof where relevant.
• Using in-house and/or external resources for various production steps. Adapts artwork for different territory or market releases.
• negotiating with vendors and suppliers and coordinates with procurement.
• Developing professional role with working knowledge in own discipline. Solves a range of routine problems.
• Demonstrating some proficiency with concepts and processes. Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures.
Requirements
• Able to balance multiple priorities in a rapidly changing publishing environment.
• Be familiar with current trends in publishing
• Be familiar with digital publishing platforms
• Relevant experience in publishing industry is a must
