Role Overview: 

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our Global Business Services (GBS) organization.  This role will report to our Automation & Advanced Analytics team and will provide project management services across both the Automation & Advanced Analytics and Global Reporting & Analysis teams. This is a key role in working with our Global leads to implement impactful automation and analytics initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with global team leads across Automation Delivery, Automation Empowerment, Process Mining (on Celonis), IBM Planning Analytics, AI, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics to develop and track projects withing a set portfolio, report status and risks to stakeholders, and help ensure successful project delivery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions and shape the future of digital transformation on a global scale at Huntsman. This role reports directly to the GBS Director, Automation & Advanced Analytics and will collaborate across a global matrix of technical and business teams. 

 

Role Responsibilities: 

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, activities, tasks, dependencies, and effort estimates for a broad portfolio of set projects and programs working with our Global Team Leads across several areas.  

  • Supporting the execution of project plans, to include tracking progress and reporting status updates to stakeholders.  

  • Identifying and supporting the management of project risks, issues, and delays, to include working with global leads to develop mitigation plans.  

  • Collaborating with team leads and team members to help ensure projects are properly resourced, aligned with organizational goals, and involve other supporting teams at Huntsman, such as Global IT. 

  • Facilitating intergroup communication and collaboration among team members to ensure successful project delivery.  

  • Implementing and promoting best practices in project management, to include system development methodologies such as scrum and agile.  

  • Conducting training and development sessions for team members on project management best practices, techniques, and tools.  

  • Facilitating project execution through hyper care and knowledge management for maintenance (allowing the developers to focus on development rather than maintenance), specifically where production support is the responsibility of our Global IT group.  

 

Experience and Competencies:   

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on systems development and systems integration with a preference for experience data, automation, and advanced analytics. 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.   

  • Strong understanding of automation and advanced analytics concepts and technologies.    

  • Experience with project management tools and standard project management practices, demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and control.  

  • Experience with solution development methodologies, including scrum and agile.   

  • Strong ability to understand and interpret business processes and requirements    

  • Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse, global teams.  

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  

  • Ability to work across multiple programs simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
