Project Manager

Fiskars

Middleton, WI

Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with a diverse team of product managers, industrial designers, sourcing specialists, and engineers.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective team communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Improvement: Support the ongoing development and refinement of project management processes and tools.

Specific Duties:

  • NPD Process SOP: Master and apply the Standard Operating Procedures for New Product Development (NPD).
  • Task Management: Establish task duration baselines, dependencies, and ensure all necessary tasks are included in program schedules.
  • Gate Reviews: Own the Gate deck template, prep approvers, and facilitate risk assessments and gate reviews.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain the master project list, ensure project additions to the global NPD master list, and track change orders.
  • Team Coordination: Send agendas, facilitate discussions, and ensure key milestones are met and communicated effectively.
  • Accountability: Hold team members accountable for their deliverables and timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Coursework or certification in project management.
  • Experience: 2+ years of project management experience, particularly in new product development of hard goods.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Project and familiarity with the stage gate process.
