Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.  The position is based in Abu Dhabi – UAE.

Accountabilities:

• Support the Senior Project Management in the coordination of an international team allocating responsibilities and deliverables with respect to Company processes and Project scope of work

• Supervise the development and monitoring of the Project schedule, considering critical path activities, dependencies and milestones, in compliance with contract requirements and Project priorities

• Lead the Project Team with regular project meetings, tracking action items, facilitating information flow and promoting effective collaboration

• Monitor the subcontractors’ progress, payments and performances

• Ensure the delivery of the Project in compliance with Quality standards and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations in accordance with contract conditions

• Play an active role in the achievement of the Project financial targets in terms of costs, revenues, invoicing and cash-flow

• Work with Contracts team in the preparation of contract claims and disputes in accordance to contract provisions

• Prepare and update regularly the Project Risk Analysis, the Monthly and Quarterly Project reviews in accordance with the Company process

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including Client and Subcontractors and participate to regular progress meetings

Skills

• 5-8 years of Project Management experience

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• GCC Railway experience is preferable

• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Based in UAE is preferable

• PMP Project Management certificate holder is preferable

• Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills

Education:

·         Bachelor’s Degree

·         Engineer Degree

Languages:

·         English Proficiency

·         Arabic is a plus
