The opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager delivering STP (sewage treatment plant) projects across the Unity Water Program. In addition to managing the Delivery phase of the projects you will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost and commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success.
Our team is at the forefront of a diverse range of construction initiatives, including water and wastewater treatment plants, expansive water and wastewater networks, critical asset renewal projects, and flagship sustainable energy and utilities projects across the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast Region.

What you’ll do
Manage, coordinate and deliver sewage treatment plant projects
Foster a culture of innovation, proactively develop team members, provide mentoring, leading by example and demonstrating a strong commitment to the Downer Standard and Zero Harm.
Support budget management processes and collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to optimise cost, implement improvements, ensure accurate records, reports and forecasting
Support procurement processes including implementation of Procurement Management Plan, Subcontractor engagement processes and supplier processes.
Build strong relationships across design teams, clients and internal stakeholders to support optimal delivery across projects

What we’re looking for
Engineering qualification with experience managing sewage treatment plant projects.
Project Management certification and RPEQ or willingness to obtain.
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic contracting service orientated environment
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Developed analytical, planning/prioritisation, financial planning and budgeting skills
