Overview

Nakupuna Prime is looking to hire a Project Manager to support a 20-person administrative support team serving the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) clients. The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic team to deliver high quality administrative support to the Department of War’s seniormost officials. This position will provide a range of management support, including managing a team of administrative professionals, building and maintaining client relationships, developing training programs, drafting Standard Operating Procedures, and ensuring successful project execution consistent with cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

  • Manage and support administrative teams across a portfolio of senior-level clients.
  • Coach and mentor team members. Be accountable for employee engagement. Manage personnel actions, including recruiting and hiring process as well as performance plans.
  • Provide project management and communications support on contract, including at Pentagon and Mark Center locations. Tasks may include but are not limited to drafting and compiling Monthly Status Reports and Project Status Review briefs; managing coverage plans and communications; and drafting and reviewing client deliverables.
  • Oversee contract deliverables and compliance.
  • Manage corporate project updates and burn plans, to include contract financials.
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers, IDIQ Project Manager, and other Leads to promote and facilitate high quality service delivery.
  • Engage with clients and CORs to obtain performance feedback on a regular basis.
  • Develop, deliver, and update trainings on administrative functions and customer service delivery. Support effective knowledge management through organized libraries and communication channels.
  • Strive to continuously improve processes and product delivery.
Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of seamless work individually and in a team environment. Specifically, the candidate is familiar with and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Experience working for the DoW as an Executive Assistant and familiarity with the OSW organizations and supporting senior level officials is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects and developing and overseeing schedules.
  • Experience managing teams of people is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills that foster teamwork and create positive relationships with staff and principals.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, plan, problem solve, and adapt in a fast-paced and strategic environment under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with delivering high-quality client service and demonstrated professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tasker management and correspondence is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated mastery in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Adobe, SharePoint, and use of office equipment is required.  

Education and Experience: This position requires five years of relevant professional experience. Experience working in or directly for the DoD is highly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is preferred.

 

Clearance: This position requires an active TOP SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.


Location: This position will provide in-person support at the Pentagon, Mark Center, and other NCR client locations, as well as at Nakupuna corporate office in Arlington, VA. Situational telework is permitted.


Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: 

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers. 
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations. 
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
