BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead facility modernization and expansion projects at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. As a Project Manager, you will deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while leading a cross-functional team and communicating effectively with executive leadership and government customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver (<$100M) complex Capital Investment projects, ensuring timely, budgeted, and quality delivery.
- Profit and Loss Management: Manage project finances, ensuring budget adherence and financial target achievement.
- Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive leadership and government customers on project status, progress, and issues.
- Sub-contractor and Supplier Management: Oversee sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met.
- Project Planning and Control: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience in Defense, Construction, or Oil/Gas/Chemical industries.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with upper management and customers.
- Technical Writing: Proficient in technical writing, such as proposal and statement of work development.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master's degree: Preferred in a related field.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification preferred.
- Earned Value Management: Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar tools preferred.
- Scheduling Tools: Experience with integrated master schedules using MS Project, Primavera, etc. preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
- Collaborative Leader: Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Effective Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-Oriented: Strong focus on delivering results and meeting project goals.
- Adaptable and Flexible: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $96623 - $164259
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
