Responsibilities

Manage the deployment and utilization of all resources to execute the works and achieve or exceed milestones/deadlines. The Project Manager is responsible for all day-to-day decisions related to the management of the project.

  • Responsible for the selection, management and retention of Project Managers 
  • Manage the development of KSA national employees across the function to support corporate objectives, Saudization targets and the knowledge dissemination culture to ensure optimal building of internal capabilities and maximize their performance
  • Provide inputs to Human Resources on succession planning, employee career growth and organizational structure
  • Manage and conduct the affairs of the team with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
  • Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across all function’s employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices
  • Manage the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP in the function  
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities of the projects team in accordance with project business plans within the company’s policies and procedures and meeting the approved budget
  • Oversee all related equipment availability at sites and ensure effective utilization
  • Produce BoQs and close all support requirements to ensure receiving timely approvals
  • Identify and report unbudgeted or over budgeted items
  • Identify variation to scope of works that could result from design or shop drawings approval by consultant or instructions from client; issue proper variation orders 
  • Obtain approval from consultant for design, shop drawings and material submittals
  • Report to the Project Director on the operational and financial status of the project(s)
  • Assist the Project Director in preparation and implementation the Project Execution Plan (PEP) 
  • Manage the execution of a project within budget, on time and support optimal client satisfaction with respect to quality and functionality
  • Design workforce/histogram and monitor labor productivity by working closely with the HR and management team to mobilize needed resources in a timely manner
  • Measure and report labor availability and implement trade productivity methods to support project execution within budget and schedule
  • Coordinate with the Procurement team to provide highest quality material on site
  • Support the preparation of appropriate templates for reporting as per Client requirements
  • Assist the Project Director in developing Active Risk Management plan
  • Coordinate with the Engineering function to generate shop drawings
  • Support Project Director in developing project work plan, assign work activities, monitor workflow and direct such activities to serve project goals and plans
  • Manage the delivery and close out of project in accordance to the contractual arrangements and the financial outcome based on agreed financial and commercial objectives
  • Prepare and present monthly project summary reports for Project Director
  • Liaise with the Procurement function to develop and implement the project procurement plan
  • Develop staff, labor and equipment mobilization plans along with de-mobilization plans to ensure optimal utilization of resources and efficiency of production
  • Support and implement directions to achieve high satisfaction and a constructive relationship with clients
  • Review monthly cost reports and quarterly cost to complete reports and developed on time for the monthly and quarterly project review meetings
  • Develop, implement and monitor project plans, project controls mechanisms (progress vs. plan) and recommend changes (if any) to the project specifications, budgets and schedules to the Project Director highlighting possible risks
  • Responsible for managing, evaluating and rewarding the performance of the construction team and ensure proper coordination between them and other functions
  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to establish detailed project plans with key milestones and deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports including detailed analysis of variances with planned expectation for the relevant client
  • Manage the implementation of management policies, processes and procedures to ensure all relevant company procedural, audits and legislative requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures across the project in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment and to ensure that the construction team comply with zero tolerance policy
  • Display effective negotiation and persuasion skills when interacting with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and clients to ensure project objectives are met and issues are resolved effectively
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in construction and project management, of which at least 5 years in a managerial position
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
  • Advanced training courses in Project Management, Planning and Financial Management is a plus
  • Advanced in construction management.
  • Proficient in business advisory.
  • Proficient in QA/QC management.
  • Advanced in Project management.

Skills Required
