The Strategic Project Manager is pivotal in driving high-impact initiatives across the UK and Ireland, taking projects from concept to completion while aligning with our broader business strategy.

As Strategic Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and reporting. You’ll be instrumental in shaping and delivering strategic activities that support operational excellence and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with local management to identify, prioritise, and select strategic projects for execution.

  • Define project goals, deliverables, and scope to ensure clarity and alignment from the outset.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans with clear schedules and milestones.

  • Assemble and manage project teams, delegating tasks and providing support as needed.

  • Monitor budgets and conduct risk assessments, proposing mitigation strategies to avoid delays.

  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, using updates as a tool for escalation and support.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to ensure sustainability and capture lessons learned.

  • Uphold company policies and standards of workplace behaviour throughout project execution.

Travel Requirements

This role involves regular travel across the UK and Ireland to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing projects in a supply chain or commercial environment.

  • Strong understanding of operations and logistics is essential; commercial experience is a plus.

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Prince2) is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (Lean Six Sigma certification is a bonus).
