The Role

About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team within Aladdin Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and automation. This role requires a deep understanding of production-critical environments and the ability to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement DevOps solutions to support the development, deployment, and operation of applications. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for provisioning cloud resources, Automation tools for configuration management and deployment, or similar. Automate system administration and operational tasks using PowerShell and Python scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Support applications running on Windows servers and cloud environments including AWS and Azure. Integrate applications with observability tools such as Visualization and analytics platforms for metrics and logs, Splunk, and PagerDuty to enable proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident automation. Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and ECS/EKS. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and PowerShell. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Open Container Initiative (OCI) container packaging and runtime and Cloud-Native distributed containerized microservice orchestration (K8s). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Monitoring and alerting toolkits for cloud-native environments, Visualization and analytics platforms for metrics and logs, ELK stack, Splunk, etc. Experience with SRE tools such as PagerDuty, Visualization and analytics platforms for metrics and logs, and Splunk for observability and incident automation. Knowledge of automation tools like Automation tools for configuration management and deployment and workflow orchestration tools like DAG-based orchestrated workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
