The Role

The Job

Your role will be to drive strategic program teams to ensure that we have people, processes and systems in place to lead to the overall success of our business group. In particular you will play a role in our on going transformation from a license selling software company to a Cloud SaaS provider, and our continued adoption of Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage simple to complex inter-related programs with global scope.  Ensure that projects are managed in a timely fashion to successful completion according to plan, approved budget and defined scope.  
  • Provide project/program management expertise and discipline to the Commercial Organization and project teams through the use of a common PMI based methodology.  Provide standardized tools for process improvement and project management, appropriate metrics and standard format for measuring key Program criteria.  
  • Interface with project leaders to develop project charters, realistic schedules and risk assessments with mitigation plans. Plan, support, coordinate and oversee the execution of project deliverables including project cost.  Ensure proper communication plans are in place and change management strategy defined and executed.  
  • Control scopes and project cost to maintain focus of project align with the vision and business strategy. Establish consistent business value reporting models across Commercial function to include benefit and cost, risk assessment, mitigation and milestone tracking. Provide status reporting for all on-going projects within Commercial Organization and participate in progress review with upper management to communicate overall project status, progress, problems and risks.
  • In collaboration with the Global Business Operation Functional leaders and other support functions (e.g: CSM, Customer Education Services, Adoption services, Tech Support, Marketing, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal), facilitate all major internal governance.

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in either project or program management through either in a direct role, or through assignments.
  • Deep understanding of Program management practice and processes
  • Understand how to formulate an overall program charter, business case, program plan, and gain stakeholder support.
  • Understand how to work within a global organization and be part of a global team.
  • Self-Motivated, confident and very well organized
  • Strong project or program management skills with an attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to turn ideas into actionable plans
  • Able to work well with cross functional as well as global teams
  • Always willing to learn and question the status quo

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
