Job DescriptionSummary of the Role
This stakeholder management role is based within a Major Project Capability Integration team at Helensburgh and is responsible to Assistant Head Capability Integration.
This is a key role throughout the project lifecycle, proactively facilitating the bridge between the project delivery workstreams and end user stakeholders to ensure that activities are planned and completed to enable site readiness.
Facilitating stakeholder management and subsequent engagement to ensure integration between Programme and Naval Base stakeholders through systematic identification and analysis of stakeholders, understanding the impact on stakeholders to improve the likelihood of their adoption of the change, the planning and conduct of interactions to engage and communicate with them, ensuring their involvement and contribution throughout the project lifecycle at the correct time whilst supporting integration activities to existing facilities, governance and process.
Infrastructure project delivery is a challenging environment, with interdependencies between a number of programmes and projects against the need to maintain the military outputs of an operational naval base. The candidate will be required to deliver at pace and demonstrate effective application of programme and project management skills, tools and techniques.

Essential:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in either a stakeholder manager, change manager, PM or APM role
- Have a sound knowledge of stakeholder, change and project management activities
- Able to objectively analyse data and information to form a big-picture view
- Process detailed information to identify relevant key points to brief seniors
- Organisational and leadership skills
- Working experience of risk and schedule activities for infrastructure works
- Hands on experience of ensuring delivery and stakeholder management in project management
- Good IT skills including MS 365 appliances
- Experience of working as part of a collaborative environment
Desirable:
- In-depth knowledge of the project delivery industry/framework
- Ability to communicate effectively at executive level
- Ability to be agile and react to changes in the business environment
- Experience of managing stakeholders and delivery in complex live operational environment
- Experience of having worked in either a Stakeholder, Business Change or Integration role within in a government project delivery environment

- APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
- Managing Successful Programmes Foundation/Practitioner
- Management of Risk (M_o_R) Foundation/Practitioner

Security clearance:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

This role is primarily based at HMNB Clyde and due to the nature of the role will likely have access to restricted information or areas which will require a sole UK National Citizen with SC clearance to meet the necessary security criteria.
There is a requirement to be onsite at HMNB Clyde to facilitate workshops, routine meetings and site visits and to engage with the wider NBCC team, this currently is a minimum of 2 days per week and maximum 4 days per week but could require more or less at specific times of the programme and should be flexible to facilitate this business need in agreement with Line Manager.
There will also be some travel to Kentigern House in Glasgow and potentially external offices of contractors if necessary.
