Your new role
Ramboll is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead projects and tasks primarily in the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites.
You will be part of part of our successful team composed by engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, chemists, biologists, etc. working together in an international network for a variety of projects regarding mainly contaminated site management, expert services, permitting, due diligence, impact assessment, water treatment, health and safety, climate risk and sustainability. You will contribute to a sustainable future in an open, collaborative and empowering culture.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Provide project strategy, oversight and direction for environmental site assessment, human health risk assessment, design and implementation of remedial actions, site closure and decommissioning projects.
- Develop the business through personal networks, market campaigns, meetings with clients and stakeholders, presentations to conferences and workshops, collaboration with Ramboll colleagues in Italy and abroad.
- Coordinate internal teams and manage relationships with consultants, external subject matter experts, and clients.
- Present information to clients, Ramboll staff, subconsultants, stakeholders and leaders to drive alignment and strategic approach to site remediation projects.
- Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, developers, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.
- Work on multiple projects and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.
- Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.
About you
- 12+ years of experience in the performance of contaminated sites assessment, human health risk assessment, definition of remediation goals, feasibility studies and evaluation of remedial actions, remediation design and implementation, design and execution of decommissioning/demolition projects, drafting of cost estimates and definition of environmental liabilities, for various types of industrial facilities, commercial areas and real estate/redevelopment initiatives.
- 5+ years’ project or program management experience.
- Demonstrated skills managing clients, projects, and staff.
- Commercial attitude to develop the environmental business with private clients.
- Experience developing proposals and cost estimates for site assessment and remediation projects at complex sites, managing project budgets, and managing Client communications.
- Knowledge and familiarity with D. Lgs 152/2006 and D. Lgs. 81/2008.
- Fluent in Italian & English both spoken and written; a third language (e.g. German, Spanish, French) is a plus.
- Proven experience with international clients or on international projects.
