Overview & Responsibilities
Summary of Role:Independently manage complex repair and re-rate projects for Elliott and non-Elliott multi-stage engineered turbomachinery. This is an individual contributor role with combined technical and commercial responsibilities, focusing on systematic planning, implementation, and analysis of repair orders (ranging from $5,000 to $2,000,000).
Key Responsibilities & Scope:
Project Management & Implementation: Manage the entire project lifecycle, including obtaining data for quotations, creating detailed work scopes, processing material and subcontracting requirements, and ensuring proper order implementation to reach a 35% profit goal. Projects typically involve complex multi-stage engineered apparatus.
Commercial & Customer Relations: Act as a daily function of selling shop services and promoting future business. Communicate EEE Terms and Conditions effectively with customers. Maintain job folders, interface with accounting, prepare information for invoicing, and process final reports.
Communication & Coordination: Maintain continuous formal and informal communication with internal stakeholders (Service Engineering, Shop Management, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting, etc.) and external customers and vendors (operations, purchasing, engineering backgrounds).
Technical Support: Assist factory engineers in developing unique repair processes and properly analyze inspection reports to determine correct actions.
Leadership: Assist in training lower-level Project Managers. Minimal travel is required.
Dimension: Role supports a Sales Budget (bookings/quota) of $4,000,000+ and manages approximately 100 customer accounts.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years in turbomachinery repair techniques and processes.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of turbomachinery repair technology and design, particularly complex multi-stage engineered apparatus, and thorough knowledge of Elliott and non-Elliott equipment. Must have completed all EEE product training.
Education: Technical or business degree, or equivalent experience. Experience in a leadership role is highly beneficial.
Skills: Experience in customer relations and sales, effective written and verbal communication, self-motivation, strong organization and time management, and the ability to handle difficult situations and demanding deadlines. Must be able to develop and grow relationships with diverse internal and external contacts.
