About the Role
A highly motivated project manager to oversee and enforce intercompany business guidelines and program risk management processes. As a project manager you will act as liaison between Magna manufacturing divisions to communicate, intermediate and administer competitive quote guidelines. Support cross functional MPT program management teams to accomplish customer project timing, and major milestones.
Your Responsibilities
- Enforcement of existing processes - Vertical Integration Standard & Program Risk Management
- Identify and report process gaps, propose improvement and support process revisions.
- Organize, manage, and track quoting activities for Magna intercompany components, provide follow up on all RFQ's and support program teams to meet customer quote timelines.
- Analyze cost breakdowns, identify cost drivers, and prepare detailed reports for make or buy decisions. support program buyers for intercompany parts sourcing activities.
- Ensure that program risk management process, tools and methods are applied to all new projects.
- Support design/technical reviews with Magna lead & supplying divisions teams. Act as liaison interface between supplying divisions and lead divisions to review design/manufacturing process to drive cost improvements.
- Team up and work closely with program cost engineers and cost estimators to ensure accurate cost targets are provided to intercompany quoting teams.
- Support suppliers launch readiness to support program management & advance quality teams as needed.
- Assist in development of vertical integration strategy and prepare annual status reports.
- Creates a positive work environment by encouraging supplying and lead divisions to work together as one Magna team to deliver to customer targets.
- Maintain lead & supplying divisions teams relationships and encourage productive and mutually beneficial decisions.
- Ensure Magna Vertical Integration guidelines are followed during internal business quoting and sourcing.
- Manage overall timing and scheduling of programs in North America by reporting overall program's major milestones.
- Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (IATF 16949).
- Conduct review of the projects to ensure that cross functional risks are properly documented, monitored and reported for all programs.
- Support internal audit activities.
- Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

Who we are looking for
- 5 years minimum experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Understand the basics of automotive industry and principles of systems.
Your preferred qualifications
- PMP or Project/Program Management Certification Preferred.
