Position summary:
Project Managers have accountability and authority for achieving a project’s objectives. They direct a multi-disciplinary team aiming to complete a project. Project managers build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. They have success in closing projects while aligning with business objectives.
Essential duties & responsibilities
Project Lifecycle and Logistics:
Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control project. Evaluate tradeoffs within project. Communicate changes and adjustments to plan based on product, install or customer delays.
Lead forecasting, scheduling, and scoping for large volume projects
Directs project team to ensure engineering review documents and all project documents are uploaded to project plan.
Lead project through review process and organize task tracking for considerations outside of scope.
Sets accurate project timelines while eliminating return trips due to scope changes and scope creep
Leads install scoping activities among project teams
Lead PLM meetings and identify and outline scope as defined by sales, engineering and customer needs.
Responsible for assigning follow-up action to stakeholder groups and holding them accountable for completion.
Advise customers and business partners on best possible schedule that meets the needs of the customer and project team.
Estimate, acquire and assign project team resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.
Lead scheduling discussions and consider needs of all parties involved.
Directs project team to ensure engineering review documents and project documents are uploaded to the project plan.
Budget and Risk Management:
Proactively anticipates risk and lead complex risk mitigated projects
Identifies risk and organize resources to support specialized risk mitigation
Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
Collaborate with supporting resources internally and externally to drive solutions in line
with our quality standards.
Collaborate with supervisor and/or project PM to establish sub-project budget. Leads, monitors and maintains costs within budget.
Stakeholder Management:
Independently able to manage and communicate material preparation timelines to customers and internal business partners.
Consult customers through site preparedness and equipment receipt process
Leads customer kick off meetings for small and large scale projects
Coordinates with customers, vendors and third party medical device companies
Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
Collaborate with sales partners to determine and manage customer expectations for production and resource allocation.
Create project presentations materials and develops informational trackers for internal and external business partners
Lead customers through project lifecycle and share value proposition in pre PO situations
Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations.
Develop and execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders

Education & special trainings:
High school diploma plus 6+ years of relevant work experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4 years or a Bachelor’s degree.
