About the role

HLB has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead our North America (NA) Network Communities.

The purpose of the Project Manager Network Communities is to serve as the primary point of contact for communities and stakeholders in the HLB NA network. This role will work closely with the Regional Market Leader and Executive Office (EO) team members to deliver initiatives aiming to engage internal audiences (mainly the firms in our network) through multiple channels including online forums (community groups), regional conferences and webinars, in-person events and group meetings, and more.

In addition, the candidate will support the Regional Market Leader with various analyses and with network development activities, and the HLB USA leadership with some administrative support. This is a regional role that will require active participation in the growth and engagement of our North America network.


The right candidate for this role is a confident and articulate communicator, with natural curiosity and initiative, a ‘can-do’ mindset, and with good attention to detail. The candidate must be passionate about building positive meaningful relationships and have the ability to ‘flex’ their style to influence and deliver results. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of how to leverage and grow relationships to achieve business goals. They will have demonstrable experience of operating within a professional services network (or comparable sector) and the ability navigate the complex needs of multiple stakeholders to add value for the HLB network. The Project Manager Network Communities will have a dual reporting role into the North America Market Leader and, into the Executive Office (EO) team through our Senior Project Manager Business Operations and will interact with our EO team members on a regular basis.


The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, be adaptable to change and be willing to embrace innovation, including the use of emerging technologies and automation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the North America Market Leader to plan and deliver a range of initiatives to engage the regional network in support of HLB growth aspirations and strategic plan.
  • Facilitate two-way communication in relation to network initiatives and programmes within the various communities/groups in the NA HLB network.
  • Organize Provide community feedback to management and stakeholders. Report as needed to all key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style.
  • Lead the organisation and planning of virtual and in-person conferences and events (for the North America network), delivering an exceptional end to end participant experience; working partnership team with the HLB USA conference team as well as the HLB International Executive Office and HLB USA Leadership
  • Balancing the diverse requirements of multiple stakeholders, while adhering to the established frameworks, models, and processes
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new firms.
  • Reply to standard queries from member firms, answer questions and send necessary documents/information in a timely manner or escalating if appropriate.
  • Facilitate communications related to cross-border referrals within the network.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager Network Operations in the execution of international tenders and projects.
  • Educate member firms, including through one-to-one sessions, on the range of tools and resources available to them within the network.
  • Establish excellent relationships amongst internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets and online collaboration tools (e.g. Monday).

The person we are looking for

  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience and a history of building successful relationships within a community.
  • Confident and articulate communicator with strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to think and act in a high-energy, challenging environment with strong service orientation.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals.
