Project Manager II
This position is hybrid model in our São Bernardo do Campo unit.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Domain Director and having a matrix report to the Head of PMO, the mission is to coordinate and lead medium-sized programs and projects of medium to high complexity, in a clear and objective manner, seeking to ensure that the products/services are delivered in accordance with the requirements of the Client and the Company, aligned with the expected cost, schedule, and performance of the Company, taking into account the satisfaction of both internal and external clients, until the conclusion of the contract and the activities related to its formal completion.
This position will also have a role as Bid Manager, at Bid department.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Representing the company to Clients and partner companies in the project;
- Managing customer relations (information, supply, revisions, contract amendments, complaints, etc.), making sure that all contractual requirements are met in order to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Evaluating the main aspects of the project, determining the main objectives to be achieved, organizing the project planning (schedule, dashboard, forecast, etc.) and presenting it during the project kick-off meeting;
- Manages cross-functional projects by identifying critical points, risks, strategy and prioritizing team efforts as necessary;
- Organizes the project team and resources by identifying necessary knowledge and skills;
- Must work closely with functional management to determine budget requirements and resource needs for projects;
- Execute project deliverables;
- Hold regular project monitoring meetings, with the participation of representatives from the company's operational areas (Core Team); Influences the work of the team members and is the facilitator responsible for the progress of the group (project/program team);
- Identifying, during the execution of the project, possible deviations that could affect the delivery schedule, costs, increase or decrease in the scope of supply, technical deviations (analysing together with Engineering), for which appropriate corrective measures must be taken by the areas involved under the coordination of the Project Manager;
- Responsible for complex decisions and practical, objective action;
- Effectively resolves project conflicts by negotiating with those involved to reach an agreed resolution;
- Communicate scope change requests, problems and meeting minutes to those involved in the project;
- Preparing documentation relating to project management, including status reporting, and keeping it organized in the project folder;
- Recording the lessons learned at each project closure meeting (Closure Review), as well as ensuring that they are recorded in the relevant tool for dissemination among the different areas of the company;
- Participate in initiatives within the organization related to Project Management, sharing experiences and knowledge with a view to improving the organization and competitiveness with a focus on continuous improvement;
- Identifying new business opportunities within the scope of the program and informing the company's Commercial Department;
- Source Data for the future project (Proposal, Contract);
- Requirements Baseline for the future project (Technical and Non Technical Requirements);
- Justification for the future project (Compliance Matrix, Solution Justification);
- Contributes to the assessment of alternative solutions;
- Contributes to the identification of customer selection criteria and hot buttons;
- Identify the supply chain to set up for the project;
- Participates in the implementation of Cash mandate decided at Gate 1 and in the negotiations with the Customer;
- Defines and formalises in the offer/contract terms of all the necessary conditions (including requirements relating to the payment plan (deliverables, cash in / out, partial payment terms…);
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in Engineering, Business or other related courses;
- Experience in managing medium-sized, medium to high complexity projects, acting as a Project Manager.
- Advanced English;
- Knowledge of the Office package;
- Knowledge of planning tools: MS project or others (Primavera).
