Humana is seeking a marketing savvy, strategy and solutions oriented, highly organized, Project Manager 2 to join our innovative team at The Hive, Humana's in-house agency. We are a creative collective built exclusively to support the business and the brand. Our sole purpose is to create meaning, influence choice, and motivate change through brand expression. As the Project Manager 2, you will manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.

Key Role Functions

  • Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan with schedules, resources, and budget to complete a project
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project
  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones
  • Lead implementation of specific agency projects and milestones ensuring work is done on brand and on time
  • Communicate changes and updates on projects to the Hive creative team and marketing partners

To be successful in this role, you should also have experience managing mid-to-large scale projects with both Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodologies. Ultimately you are an activator who can build confidence and trust with the team, and our marketing partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience with Waterfall and/or Agile Project Management Methodology experience
  • Previous experience in project management and writing requirements
  • Prior experience managing mid to large scale projects
  • Ability to prepare and provide project presentations during meetings with Senior Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong Proficiency on MS Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Able to meet deadline, work with tight schedules and manage multiple priorities under minimum supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work history in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in the Health Care/Insurance Industry
  • PMP and/or Six Sigma Certifications a plus
  • Experience in marketing or advertising field

Additional Information

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$63,400 - $87,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
