Our Canadian West Civil Infrastructure Group is looking for an experienced Project Managers Bridges in Calgary or Edmonton or Vancouver.

Who are we looking for?

In this position you will focus on transportation related structural work including roads and highways, rail and transit and ports. Our team provides integrated professional services throughout the full project lifecycle from initial policy and business case advice, through concept and detailed design, inspection and construction administration.

  • Support growth of the Transportation Structures team through recruitment, client engagement, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Lead proposal development and contribute to Go/No-Go decisions for targeted project opportunities across Western Canada.
  • Serve as Project Manager or Design Manager on transportation infrastructure projects delivered through various procurement models.
  • Provide design management, technical leadership, and support project delivery from planning and design through construction.
  • Oversee structural analysis and the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Ensure successful project execution through QA/QC oversight, timely deliverables, and management of multiple priorities.
  • Mentor and develop team members through supervision, training, career development, and collaboration across GHD’s global network.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 10+ years of experience with transportation related structural design (bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc). Ability to take ownership and accountability for structural design work
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Alberta or British Columbia
  • AREMA, CN Rail, CPKC Rail or other Class 1 experience are considered an asset
  • Project Management experience demonstrating effective and practical project management skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills
  • Knowledgeable with structural analysis software and MS office 
  • Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining schedule and a high degree of attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues  
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude, committed to building a practice and being part of the exciting growth opportunities within Western Canada

Salary range: 112,448 - $187,413

The salary range is based on the preferred work location. If the selected candidate’s location differs, changes to the salary range may apply.

Skills Required
