As aProject Manager, Advanced Conceptsyou oversee the initiation, planning, tracking, executing and closing of Advanced Concepts projects. You lead the coordination efforts of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver specific method, product, performance and experience innovations, from idea to guest. You bring your strong sense of initiative and creative problem solving to empower and support the team to deliver resolved and on time projects. You drive alignment and delivery of innovation concepts through our operational framework. You play a critical role in the Advanced Concept stream’s ability to deliver innovation to market.

This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Advanced Concepts team drives breakthrough innovation in snow, trail and climb for the mountain athlete everywhere. We do this by ideating, creating, and delivering future materials, products, technologies, and experiences that tackle real functional challenges. We are a team of builders, problem solvers and passionate outdoor enthusiasts. Fueled by curiosity, we take an immersive approach to identifying future needs and solutions. Our in-house end-to-end capabilities in research, engineering, design, development, and validation allow us to innovate head-to-toe solutions that bring the coast mountain experience to the world. Our unique methodology, mindset of sustainability and fanatic passion for product are at the heart of what we do. 

If you were the Project Manager, Advanced Concepts now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Partnering with the Advanced Concepts leadership team on project kick-off to ensure a clear scope, ownership, decision method, budget and brief are defined, including setting up tracking mechanisms for timeline, activities, budget and deliverables 
  • Partnering with project teams, vendors and cross-functional partners to support in driving innovation projects through to completion 
  • Leading the coordination and communication of project plans, budget, resource allocation (internal and external), reviews, on-going status updates, quality assurance, brand installation guidelines, and learnings for future projects 
  • Working cross-functionally to gather information and content, acting as central point of contact to stakeholders on your projects
  • Engaging relevant stakeholders of all levels, at the right time, to ensure full project awareness and enrollment against concept initiatives
  • Assisting with the creation of presentation materials and documentation for quarterly innovation review milestones and concept adoption
  • Providing project teams with clear week-to-week priorities
  • Supporting in compilation of project scope, activities, and expenditures, of projects deemed eligible for submission to funding programs (SR&ED, IRAP, NRC, MITACS, and so forth) 
  • Ensuring that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality 
  • Leading agenda creation, structure and management of regular project meetings to ensure project milestones are met 
  • Establishing a regular communication schedule with cross functional stakeholders and leadership.

Are you our next Project Manager, Advanced Concepts?

  • You have 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably in consumer electronics, mechanical engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering ,apparel, textile.and hardgoods You have completed a recognized Project Management Program (PMP or similar), coupled with a degree in design, engineering, science or business, You have exceptional communication skills, including visual and oral, and you are experienced with the creation of supporting dashboard assets
  • You can lead, plan and deliver multiple projects at one time, comfortable overseeing work schedules, calendars and project budgets across various resources 
  • You are known for being organized, process driven, collaborative and you are comfortable working with highly technical projects and early concepts 
  • You are comfortable working with, or learning new, project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, Box.com) 
  • You understand the product design and development process, from insights to commercialized products and the product lifecycle 
  • You have experience with innovation tools, frameworks as well as IP management 
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right 
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity 
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration 
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement 
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
