Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) is seeking a Project Manager/ Principal Project Manager. The position will be based fully-onsite in Clearfield, Utah.
This project manager will oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between program management and the execution Integrated Product Team (IPT). The role will require the review and status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They will be responsible for assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives. The project manager will be responsible for developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with customers, the IPT, the program office or other external stakeholders.
Role Description and Responsibilities

- Supports the development of details for the annual long-range strategic planning process (LRSP)
- Supports the program manager in executing the program successfully by developing metrics and leading projects that drive effective management of safety, quality, schedule, delivery, and cost for fixed price contracts.
- Supports program risk, issue, and opportunity (RIO) board, and acts as a liaison to the IPT identifying program RIO’s and supporting with guidance on how to accurately estimate and capture potential financial impacts
- Participate in weekly customer telecoms to review program performance and customer needs
- Support proposal development by setting standards and processes for repeatable BOE development and compliant process approval.
- Support the continued execution of established program plan
- Support the customer by executing projects that resolve issues in accordance with business objectives, strategy, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies
- Act as an integrator between the internal functional team to support clear communication and resolution to conflict, reviewing performance, and initiating process improvement and corrective actions when necessary
- Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.
- Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers. Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):

- Bachelor's degree and 5 years, Master’s degree and 3 years, or a PhD and 1 years of experience. Experience must be in one or more of the following: Project Management/Program Management, Operations Management, Finance, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, Proposals and/or Capture Efforts, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Business Management
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
