The Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Sr Principal Project Manager. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Test Strategy Pivot FT-02 Flight Test and Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Thread Leads and will provide a wide variety of Project Management support focused on ensuring timely test and flight execution. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This position will regularly interface with a variety of partners including multiple elements within the AVE segment, Launch Systems Subject Matter Experts and the USG Customer.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Facilitate project integration between stakeholders to deliver products required to adequately support the detailed schedule planning for FT-02.
Engage with stakeholders by building strong relationships with technical experts, subcontractors, Sentinel personnel, and government customers through leading technical and program management meetings, resolving issues, and aligning with strategic objectives.
Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and stakeholders.
Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
Serve as the Earned Value Management (EVM) focal supporting the Control Account Manager (CAM).
Assists in the definition, planning, organizing, directing and tracking risk and opportunity management efforts related to FT-02 execution.
Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Facilitate a variety of Review Boards to evaluate and close engineering changes and develop and maintain tracking systems for design actions and technical review board (TRB)/change control board (CCB) packages, ensuring efficient coordination with AVE stakeholders and suppliers.
Develop and implement processes to enhance program execution.
Schedule, lead, and participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders.
Track and ensure the delivery of necessary project deliverables.
Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks, as assigned.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Year with a PhD; 4 additional years may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope.
At least 4 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Demonstrated track record/ experience in project management/ execution and closeout.
Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
Proficient in using the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence and Jira).
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Demonstration of a strong understanding of project management and earned-value management principles.
Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.
Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers.
Must be able to work on-site in Roy, UT.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
PMP Certification.
Experience working within a multi-team environment.
Experience with schedule management, risk management and performance management.
Proficiency working with MS Project.
