Huntsman is seeking a Project Management Office Manager supporting the Performance Products Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the Global Business Director, AdTech.

Job Scope

Responsible for driving strategy implementation, innovation opportunity health, and dashboard utilization for the AdTech business. The AdTech PMO will activate and implement these elements for the business by working closely with the AdTech leadership team and leading regular reviews of strategic initiatives and mitigation plans to deliver key initiatives. The role will work closely with the AdTech Application Development team and the Product Manager to shape and build the portfolio with a robust 5-year roadmap in line with the AdTech business strategy.

As the Project Management Office Manager, you will:

Principal Accountabilities

Strategy Implementation

  • Centralized Strategic Planning and Implementation: Establish global clarity and alignment on strategic outcomes, goals, and initiatives for the AdTech business. Lead regular reviews of goals and initiatives with the AdTech leadership team to ensure implementation of the business strategy, including deliverable impact, resources, and ownership mitigations for at-risk initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess the review processes and tools ensure the AdTech business achieves the desired growth outcomes. Adapt the approaches to the needs of the business, the external environment, and the internal stakeholder requests.
  • Tool Development and Management: Develop a visual and interactive tool that clarifies the status of strategic goals. This tool should enable both high-level status views as well as more granular initiative descriptions for each of the strategy owners.

Innovation Project Roadmap

  • Innovation Pipeline Development and Implementation:  Work closely with the AdTech Application Development team and R&D team to update the innovation pipeline business cases. Ensure that the growth direction aligns with the strategy.
  • Division Harmonization: Harmonize the StageGate process with the division, utilizing tools such as Planview and review processes.
  • Prioritization and Resourcing: Drive the governance processes to ensure that all projects are in the proper stage, prioritized correctly, and resourced in line with the approvals and project needs.

Business Dashboard

  • In coordination with the AdTech leadership team, annually update the business dashboard. Implement the dashboard to drive the required behaviors and results:
  • Identify the top 3-6 Key Process Indicators (KPIs) in line with the business needs
  • Align on the proper targets and drop-off values for each KPI
  • Review the KPIs with the leadership teams to identify root causes for deficiencies, mitigations to address these deficiencies, and owners to achieve results

Required Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

  • University degree in a business or technical discipline; an MBA and PMP certification are a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years PMO experience, working across a matrix organization; global experience is valued
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to high level stakeholders
  • Team player as well as ability to have an objective critical view
  • Fluency in English

Problem Solving

  • Candidate must ensure that product initiatives are aligned with the AdTech business strategy.
  • Work with significant independence; the line management would be consulted for only general guidance or particularly complex problems. The ability to switch between strategic long-term issues and short-term tactical delivery will also be a key attribute.

Accountability

  • The incumbent is expected to work in a matrix organization with a high level of self-steering and self-motivation
  • Leadership is exhibited in nearly every aspect of the job – safety, business strategy, technical direction, general management, development of staff, etc.
  • The level of interactions will include senior level stakeholders internally within Huntsman as well as project team members
