Context
Works partly in operations and partly on project management. Manages mono-disciplinary stand-alone projects or leads sub projects. Coordinates the implementation of a defined, short-term change or project within set organizational procedures and standards. Projects typically involve continuous improvement of processes within own sector, which requires understanding of the process and the topic.
Knows the industry standards for project management and is able to lead others on the project.
Project timeline: 3-6 months. Resources: 1-2 FTE. Reporting line: manager level. Impact on small groups of employees.
Analyses requirements with sponsor/customer or senior colleagues, designs the implementation proposal and evaluates feasibility.
Requirements
Has solid work experience, with several years of experience in specific Project Management roles and project delivery. Has good knowledge of compentence or technical area managed and awareness of the business issues.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management Strategy and Methodology
Independently chooses and applies the relevant Project Management methodologies, including reporting, risk analysis and using ASML's project management standards and tools.
Project scope definition
Manages the delivery of research, workshops, and other activities to support the specification and agreement of project deliverables.
Business Needs / Improvements
Plans and coordinates the identification, elicitation of requirements; conducts analysis of those requirements for completion and alignment; documents and manages requirements throughout the life of the project; and coordinates the verification of the end deliverable. Identifies opportunities for improvement; proposes/makes improvements to work processes.
Generally done at the project level.
Project Planning / Roadmap
Produces workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
Project Team Management
Leads a small project team; communicates the outcomes needed and direction to achieve outcome, coordinates team actions on project tasks; requests additional team member support when needed; and identifies areas of improvement necessary to build the capability of the team through training, coaching and mentoring.
Project Resource Management
Manages the deployment of project resources, proactively managing project costs, providing forecasts, and presenting variances with narrative at appropriate review points to ensure effective utilization.
Project Governance
Ensures project compliance with ASML's wider program and/or portfolio management decision-making structures and processes.
Stakeholder Management and Advising
Plans and delivers stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships and to ensure that stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met.
Project Risk and Issue Management
Identifies and evaluates risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate. Reviews and solves problems (technical, process, logistic), prioritizes, informs stakeholders, and escalates on problems where necessary.
Project Review / Reporting
Drafts project review reports and presentations, including key information, commentary, and recommendations to support the review process and enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on change.
Project Benefit Realization
Carries out baseline assessment and post-implementation analyses to contribute to the measurement and tracking of business benefits.
People Development
Is able to organize team structure (roles & responsibilities) and meeting rhythm. Mentors project team members.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
