Then join our team! We're looking for a Project Lead Engineer (f/m/d) to drive customer-specific development projects in the field of power electronic products such as inverters and converters.
Your Mission:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical implementation of our ABB tailor-made platform solutions within highly complex engineering projects. Working closely with product management and project leadership, you will ensure that all engineering activities are delivered efficiently, in line with contract specifications, quality standards, safety protocols, and cybersecurity requir-ments.

Your main responsibilities:
Act as the design authority for all applicable engineering disciplines and validate technical deliverables
Review technical project documentation and support proposal development
Lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams (internal and external)
Identify risks and opportunities, and define mitigation strategies accordingly
Manage all technical project requirements, track development progress, and report status to project management
Collaborate closely with the project manager from contract award to project completion
Support risk and opportunity assessments and contribute to claim management
Represent technical aspects in project meetings and client interactions
Engage with customers to develop tailored solutions and drive innovation
Oversee subcontractor management in collaboration with procurement and supply chain
Provide on-site support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases
Qualifications for the role
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., Master or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in Development/Engineering
Strong background in technical project leadership
Familiarity with design thinking, agile methods, risk management, and prioritization techniques
Ability to lead without authority, solve problems effectively, and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Fluent in English and German
