Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to support the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and field teams with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, procurement, and communication to help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction management and gain hands-on experience in project operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations

  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries

  • Review and manage project drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs

  • Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables

  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

  • Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders

  • Assist with quality control and safety compliance efforts on job sites

  • Help ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards

  • Coordinate inspections, permits, and closeout documentation

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • 1–3 years of construction experience preferred

  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or electrical construction projects is a plus

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk active construction job sites safely

  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate uneven terrain

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions when visiting job sites
