Position Summary

Supports a broad range of moderately complex projects (design, implementation, etc.). Projects could range from new equipment, procurement and installation; machine safety improvements; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. Projects may be small stand-alone projects or portions of a larger project with the larger project being managed by others.  Also troubleshoots current production equipment/processes for maximum quality throughput.  Generates cost savings ideas throughout facility.

  • Successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with required functionality
  • Effective monitoring and communication of project cost and schedule to stakeholders
  • Accurate integration of new systems and equipment
  • Proactive risk identification and mitigation throughout the project timeline

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Communicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholders

Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide clear and consistent updates on project status and key metrics

Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot and support production equipment and processes
  • Provide technical assistance to Sales and other departments

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Experience with product and process design techniques (APQP, Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of machine design and operating principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of machine repair and troubleshooting practices
  • Proficiency in CAD, PC systems, and PLCs
  • Hands-on, independent contributor who thrives in team environments
  • Ability to travel 25-50%

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience
  • Project management training preferred (MS Project, Gantt charts, PM methodologies, etc.)
