Essential Functions

  • Project Formulation:
    • Conduct feasibility studies and assess project requirements.
    • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation and risk management strategies.
  • Scope Management:
    • Establish and document project scope and objectives.
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and understood.
    • Manage scope changes and ensure project deliverables align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial forecasting.
    • Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
    • Prepare financial reports and provide updates to management on budget status.
  • Schedule Management:
    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software.
    • Coordinate tasks and activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
    • Implement schedule controls and update project timelines as necessary.
  • Implementation:
    • Lead project execution by coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
    • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
    • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Commissioning:
    • Plan and oversee the commissioning phase, ensuring systems and components are installed and function according to design specifications.
    • Conduct tests and inspections to validate the performance and safety of project installations.
    • Develop and implement commissioning plans and checklists.
  • Performance Validation:
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and performance criteria.
    • Conduct performance validation and testing to confirm project objectives are met.
    • Prepare final project reports, documenting outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.
    • Facilitate project meetings and presentations to ensure stakeholder alignment and engagement.
    • Address and resolve project-related conflicts and issues promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance project delivery.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
  • Proven experience in managing capital and non-capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial management tools.

Preferred

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment; molded fiber experience a plus.
  • 5-7 years of project management experience, Minimum of 7 years in a leadership position, Demonstrated successful project management experience,

Environment

Office work area is a climate-controlled environment. Requires time in the manufacturing area ( 50% of time) interacting with maintenance and production teams where it is a hot/cold, dusty, and noisy environment. While in the manufacturing area, required PPE must be worn. Sitting, standing and/or walking up to 8 hours per day. Work schedule is standard for this type of role. This position may require some travel.
