Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Project Engineer to join our team. The IT Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
Typical pay range for this role is $50,000-$65,000 annually depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.

• Time Management: Utilize project resources, including team members, contractors, and vendors, to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.

• Communication: Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management, to ensure project goals are met.

• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and are completed with the highest level of quality.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
   

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT project engineering or a related role

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

• Possesses Intermediate level or higher Microsoft certification or equivalent

• Experience with:

  • Backup configuration and deployment

  • Active Directory

  • M365 application configuration

  • Tenant migrations

  • Azure virtual machine setup and upgrades

  • Proficiency in Windows server 2016 or newer

  • VMware installation and configuration

  • Power Automate proficiency
     

• Work independently with minimal oversight

• Balance multiple tasks with different timelines and priorities

• Document work done in a professional manner

• Capable of finding multiple solutions to a problem and evaluating to find the best solution

• Communicates with clients in a professional manner

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, engineering principles, and project

• Knowledge of IT systems design and implementation processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Raise objects up to 25lbs.

• Remain upright on feet for extended periods

• Remain stationary for extended periods

• Ability to communicate information

• Ability to operate a computer

• Ability to work in extreme weather

• Possess/maintain a valid driver's license

• Travel Requirement: 25%
