Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical engineering information to company supervision and crafts to insure construction work complies with all engineering standards.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material.
  • Research and recommend solutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences and errors.
  • Verify all complete work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as staff reports, punch lists, describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc. to supervisor.
  • May provide technical support and direction of project material control functions including implementation and operation of maintenance program.
  • Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
  • May provide necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • 4 year degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment an techniques, drawings and specifications, building material and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • Ability to perform trigonometric calculation either manually or with a calculator.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, conduct follow up, tracking and reporting independently.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with others effectively and professionally.
  • Willing and able to help team with others tasks as needed and assigned.
  • Must be self-motivated with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.

  • 0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
