ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support our client in a direct role! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, TN. To be considered, you must have an Active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design through construction, testing, and final turnover.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver critical systems and infrastructure support.

  • Partner with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to support the design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and startup of new and existing plant systems.

  • Develop engineering documentation, support quality and configuration management activities, participate in field walkdowns.

  • Assist with integrated testing efforts, monitor project progress and budgets.

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with program requirements.

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, and Architecture from an ABET-accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably supporting construction or industrial projects.

  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

  • ClearanceTo be considered, you must have an Active or very recently active DOE “Q” Clearance or DoD “Top Secret” Clearance.

  • Project engineering or project management experience.

  • Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering background.

  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with quality programs, testing activities, and configuration management processes.
