With expertise in space-based detection, tracking, identification, and monitoring, Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across regimes, allowing end users to have actionable intelligence on a single platform. At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness: perception (data collection), comprehension (data processing), and prediction (analytics). This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects (RSOs) in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness.

We are seeking highly organized Project Engineers to join our team. This person is expected Manager to drive the delivery of our software products platforms and data pipelines that turn sensor observations into actionable intelligence for our customers. In this role, you will take charge of execution for software delivery from concept to release: running the agile process day to day, tracking progress through the right tools, coordinating the dependencies between the software track and the hardware, algorithms, and data teams it relies on.

Ideal Candidate:

Work experience in formal project management in the space segment has delivered software products on time by running a healthy agile process, building the team habits and the tracking discipline that make delivery predictable while turning ambiguity and shifting requirements into a plan the team can actually execute against and cares about delivery culture as much as delivery mechanics.

Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of release timelines, sprint commitments, and delivery predictability across the product lifecycle, in all stages from concept through to general availability.

  • Work closely with engineers to facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives; maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog with the Product Owner, and protect Team focus for incremental delivery

  • Foster the team habits that make agile as a practice, to raise blockers toward shipping working software with documentation and clear Definitions of Done.

  • Administer and continuously improve the delivery tooling boards, workflows, sprint reports, dashboards, and the flow and predictability metrics that give the team and stakeholders real-time view of progress.

  • Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation.

  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and communicate progress, constraints, and issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Work with different teams to oversee vendor deliverables and critical logistics.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Engineering and/or Master’s in engineering in a relevant discipline.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in project management within the Space industry or affiliated hardware and software intensive industries.

  • Experience in engineering project management, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, risk management and effective team collaboration.

  • Strong background in financial tracking, budget forecasting, and vendor negotiations.

Preferred Qualities:
  • Prior experience setting up, administering, and working with formal project management tools such as Smartsheet or Jira.

  • Experience managing the realization of complex software systems from conceptualisation till launch/deployment.

  • Demonstrated experience running an agile process (Scrum or Kanban) as a Scrum Master, delivery lead, associate PM, or equivalent role facilitating processes and owning a backlog.

  • Professional certification in Project Management (Ex. PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM).

  • A working understanding of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and how modern software teams ship and operate a product.

  • Have a can-do spirit and good problem-solving skills.

General Requirements:
  • Ability to take direction and work independently.

  • Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational skills.

  • Travel occasionally as necessary.

  • Fluent in English.
