Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end certification and testing projects for electrical and electronic products, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Develop test plans, methodologies, and equipment requirements for new, complex, or non-standard products.
- Evaluate products against applicable national and international safety and performance standards.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, providing guidance on certification requirements, testing procedures, project timelines, and compliance pathways.
- Coordinate laboratory activities, including preparation of test instructions, technical documentation, and test data sheets.
- Analyze test results, identify non-conformities, and provide recommendations for product compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, laboratory personnel, and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing methods, certification processes, and laboratory operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise across multiple product categories.
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication of project progress, technical findings, and certification outcomes.
Preferred Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university.
- 8-10 years of experience in product engineering, design validation, testing, certification, manufacturing, or compliance engineering.
- Prior experience in electrical product testing and certification within a laboratory, certification body, testing organization, or product manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with global product certification programs and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.
- Knowledge on UL, CSA, IEC CB Scheme certification and standards like, IEC/EN 60898-1, IEC/EN 61008-1, IEC/EN 61009-1, UL/IEC 60947 Series, UL 8085, UL 1561, IEEE C57.12.00, IEEE C57.12.28 standards, knowledge of IEC CB schemes and global certification would be an added advantage.

Skills Required
- BE/BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- 8-10 years experience in engineering, design validation, testing, certification, or manufacturing
- Proficiency in safety standards (IEC, EN, UL, CSA, NEMA)
- Exposure to ISO/IEC 17025
- Knowledge of UL, CSA, IEC CB Scheme certification and standards (UL/IEC 60947 series, UL 508)
- Independent decision-making and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment and document detailed results
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Electrical/Electronics testing experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong teamwork skills
