The Project Engineer II is responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering technology solutions that meet client requirements while ensuring high-quality project execution. This role independently manages standard infrastructure projects, collaborates with internal teams and clients, and produces accurate project documentation to support long-term operational success. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Job Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of client technology projects while meeting project scope, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot infrastructure technologies including servers, networking, cloud platforms, firewalls, wireless solutions, and endpoint management systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout project planning, implementation, and handoff.
- Produce accurate implementation notes, as-built documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Identify process improvements and recommend updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base documentation.
- Proactively identify technical risks and resolve implementation issues to ensure project success.
- Provide technical guidance during project execution and share knowledge with peers.
- Ensure completed solutions meet client expectations and support long-term operational stability.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience implementing and supporting IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
- Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting servers, networking, cloud platforms, endpoints, and infrastructure technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting or project-based environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.

- Documentation Quality: Accuracy and completeness of implementation notes, as-built documentation, and knowledge base updates for completed projects.
- Client Satisfaction (CSAT): Feedback provided by clients through post-project or service satisfaction surveys.
- Timesheet Compliance: Timely and accurate submission of timesheets in accordance with company standards.
- A home office set up that meets the following:
- Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
- Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
- AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
- macOS 12 or newer.
- Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds.
- Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings.
- Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Pay rates start at $18.28/hour and vary by experience and location.
