Job Description:

The purpose of the Project Coordinator position will be to coordinate data collection, data acquisition, research team coordination, IRB protocol management, and grant reporting tasks for one or more research projects. Assist with the management and day-to-day operations of the projects, including interactions with study participants, coordinating with suppliers, engaging stakeholders, and meeting recruitment goals. Responsibilities include tracking enrollment, recruitment, assist with screening and scheduling participants, manage IRB-approved protocols and documents, prepare and submit IRB applications and reports, and support manuscript activities as needed. The ideal candidate will be flexible, service-oriented, resourceful, and have strong communication skills. 

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong software and web proficiency required (i.e. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.), with willingness to learn and utilize new software applications as needed.

Experience

  • Strong attention to detail, high level of professionalism and organization required

  • Public health research experience preferred

  • Previous experience with research participant recruitment and conducting in-person interviews

  • Previous supervision experience, preferred

Job Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects at the same time, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines

  • Effective at communicating with audiences whose statistical and technical backgrounds vary widely

  • Efficient time management skills

  • Experience working with IRB applications and grant/IRB reporting

  • Knowledge of research study design, recruitment issues, and retention

  • Experience with team leadership and collaboration
