Job DescriptionAs a member of the ICT Project Management team, the Technical Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support in all project activities related to the design, procurement, deployment and testing of IT solutions for an expansion to Halton Healthcare’s clinical space. This will be a key role that provides coordination, communication, and control functions in the delivery of both project planning and ‘hands on’ implementation of IT solutions,
Working under the direction of the Senior Project Manager - ICT, this position will conduct project management coordination, and some technical activities including, but not limited to:
- Develops strong relationships with stakeholders in order to understand their current environment and to facilitate movement towards a common future vision.
- Facilitates group discussions during meetings to support the group through analyzing current workflow, designing, developing, testing and implementing solutions to achieve project goals.
- Identifies and documents project risks, develops relevant mitigation strategies, and works with the project team to proactively resolve issues/barriers
- Takes appropriate action to keep the project on track as it relates to scope and schedule, including monitoring and escalating as appropriate.
- Develops and presents materials for review using strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills with the ability to express moderately complex concepts effectively. Regularly reports progress to key stakeholders through status reports and presentations.
- Works on low-to-moderate complexity problems independently, or moderate to complex problems with the support of a Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager/ and makes recommendations to staff and clinicians to support the development of innovative and creative solutions.
- Demonstrates quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including the collection, analysis, and distribution of PMO data and statistics.
- Utilizes project and office software with a high degree of proficiency
- Creates and Implements Tools to improve work processes/meet project goals
- May perform some deployment and testing of end user devices and solutions
- Bachelors degree in Business or Health Administration, Health informatics, industrial engineering, computer engineering, business, or related field required
- Project management Certificate, CAPM certification or equivalent required
- 1-2 years health care industry experience preferred
- 1-2 years of project management team experience required (across any industry) or relevant project management certificate/diploma in lieu of experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in the Information Systems field including applications, networking , operations or telecommunications preferred
- Project Planning, management and implementation experienced required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Competent in Microsoft office applications including Word, Outlook, Power Point and basic Excel
- Experience with process mapping tools (MS Visio or similar)
- Experience with MS Project, JIRA, or other similar project management software
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Exercise initiative and good judgment with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in drafting detailed presentations and delivering them effectively to various stakeholders.
- Industry standard technical certifications (MCP/A+) an asset
Status: Temporary Full-time (Approx. 18 months)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800-1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $40.323 to $50.391 per hour
