Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage Sunshine 811 / utility locate tickets for assigned OSP construction projects.
  • Track positive responses from utility owners and identify missing, late, or incomplete responses.
  • Monitor ticket expiration dates and submit updates, renewals, or remarks as required to keep tickets valid.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, and QC personnel regarding locate status and work readiness.
  • Help prevent excavation from beginning when required locates are not complete, valid, or clearly marked.
  • Maintain organized records of ticket numbers, response status, dates, project locations, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate field conflicts, damaged or missing markings, and locate-related delays to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist with project scheduling, documentation, closeout support, and other coordination duties as needed.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience in OSP, underground utility construction, telecommunications, or construction project coordination preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 811 locate requirements and Sunshine 811 / Exactix is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple active tickets and projects at the same time.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, web-based systems, and project tracking tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with field crews, utility owners, subcontractors, and management.
  • Valid driver license and ability to travel to project locations when required.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office/coordination work with periodic field visits to active OSP construction sites.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced construction environment and respond to changing field priorities.
