What’s the Opportunity?
Anchor QEA is seeking a project controls analyst to provide project controls and project methodology support in the four project management knowledge areas of scope, schedule, budget, and risk assessment. This position will assist with all aspects of the project, including scheduling support; coordination with clients, subconsultants, and project teams; coordination of field logistics; invoicing; deliverables coordination and production; written and verbal correspondence; and project reports, contract management, budget tracking, and forecasting. Supports project managers and projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in project meetings in coordination with project manager; track deliverables; update project schedules; identify project risks and work to mitigate outcome.
- Grow exposure and understanding of project management concepts such as project scope control and change management.
- Participate in project reviews with project manager and project accountant.
- Meet with project managers for project updates, project constraints and assist with delivering projects.
- Prepare standard and subconsultant agreements and amendments.
- Assist with reviewing the scope statement and create a work breakdown structure.
- Set up and maintain project schedules and monitor project progress in coordination with PM.
- Assist with monitoring the budget and managing to Estimate at Completion by utilizing Earned Value management.
- Assist with planned value and forecasting costs for the upcoming months.
- Analyze monthly project burn rate, identify need for a change order, and initiate change orders according to contract.
- Deliverable coordination in collaboration with project team.
- Request project setup via SharePoint app and confirms project has been set up correctly in BST using information from contract; pull and read reports from financial software to help manage project financials,
- Coordinate with Finance team to resolve billing issues.
- Interface with subconsultants and clients on schedules, deliverables, and project details
- Assist with contract, financial, and marketing closeout.
- Meeting facilitation, meeting notes, and action item tracking.
- Participate in company meetings and committees, PCA team meetings and initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
- Work toward being a trusted and respected member within the project management team and by other AQ staff by identifying areas to support and/or to streamline systems and processes.
What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in industry or related field and 1 to 2 years of project controls or coordination experience (ideally in a technical field)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint (experience with SharePoint is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Proven skills in analyzing and solving problems
- Understanding of Project Lifecycle
- Working knowledge of project accounting methods and requirements a plus
- Superior time management skills, detail-oriented, and adept at prioritizing among multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
- Experienced in working with and providing support to diverse groups at all levels of management

Salary and Other Compensation:
- Salary: $25.02-$27.52
- Annual Bonus
- Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.
Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:

Skills Required
